One of the features of living at Bidealde is the supportive atmosphere amongst residents, which fosters an environment of camaraderie and lasting friendships. This family atmosphere, which permeates throughout life at the Hall of Residence, becomes apparent in the various events: small parties held to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries, graduation, the passing of exams, victory in sport …

The environment at the Hall of Residence is based on individual performance and respect for the freedom of each resident, who is thus responsible for their own personal development and, in turn, for upholding the defining spirit of Bidealde.

Managing the Bidealde Hall of Residence

Responsibility for the daily running of Bidealde befalls the Management Board, which governs on the principle of collegiality. It is made up of four people: a director, two assistant directors and a secretary. They are assisted by the Residents' Committee, made up of resident scholars. Yet the running of Bidealde is a task that involves everyone, which is why there are numerous committees that residents and members are free to join. This applies to those for sport, cinema, literature, excursions, discussions, festivities ...

The Governing Trust is responsible for ensuring compliance with the aims of Bidealde, as well as for appointing the Management Board. It also rules on the appointment of Scholars of Honour, in favour of those personages who have distinguished themselves in their collaboration with the activities of Bidealde.
